Why Cybersecurity Is Important

Children are becoming more tech-savvy with every passing generation and at younger ages, so educating them in cybersecurity becomes more important. With dangerous interactions a possibility on social media and bullying and harassment remaining ever-present in online games, children need to be made aware of what dangers they may encounter any time they look for a WiFi connection. 

Pure Minds Academy’s Cybersecurity Program

Tailored to 10-to-14-year-olds, our Cybersecurity program provides a practical approach to learning. By engaging in interactive projects, students will gain insight into the fundamentals of cybersecurity in addition to expert guidance. Learning how passwords can be hacked, the fundamentals of secure coding and what to do to protect themselves from online harm are some topics that will be covered.

The curriculum also includes learning about online threats, like phishing, malware and social engineering attacks, guidelines for browsing and recognising secure websites, along with the importance of privacy settings when using social media sites. By the end of the program, students will have a thorough understanding of the theoretical aspects of cybersecurity and practical skills they may use to protect themselves.

• Junior STEM and Robotics: For 7-to-9-year-olds, offering science, coding, and robotics activities in a fun environment.
